Stand Together Again

Touch is coming up as a major theme in new FDA rulemaking about psychedelic therapy. We need our community speaking up together.

Frameworks could leave bodyworkers out.

But we've done this before.

Remember Colorado, when we pulled together and changed the DORA rules that would have banned touch practitioners from natural medicine licensing? That showed what happens when we stand united. While the DORA rules are still very limiting, they are a much better than being excluded entirely!

This moment calls for that same energy from each of us.

Skilled, ethical, and attuned physical contact is not optional for many people working through the complexities of chronic pain, touch trauma, or disconnection in their bodies. Reclaiming safe and pain free touch is a core part of building a coherent, empowered, discerning sense of self and holistic healing. When psychedelic and ketamine rules push us underground, the public has no access to ethical, experienced practitioners and oversight boards.

The comment period stays open for seven days, so try to comment by October 5.

If you work with or benefit from bodywork, somatic practices, or integrative care, please add your voice. A short comment still counts.
