5 Ways to Tune Into Yourself

So many of us move through the day on autopilot, missing the subtle signals our bodies are sending. Whether you’re reconnecting after stress or simply looking to deepen awareness, here are five trusted resources that I found over the past fifteen years that might support your journey today:

MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction)
John Kabat-Zinn’s body scan meditation teaches you to slow down and notice each part of yourself with care.

If tuning into your body isn't easy, you’re not alone in this. For many (especially those who’ve lived through trauma or are neurodiverse) putting words to body signals and emotions can be difficult. There’s a term for it: alexithymia. Building body awareness is a gentle (long!) path toward bridging and aligning mental and body states.

Take your time, explore these resources, and see what resonates.

With care,

Suz

P. S. Why does this matter in relationships? I used to start executives with this HBR article from Daniel Goleman to get them to meditate. Maybe it's worth a read for you, too! Primal Leadership: The Hidden Driver of Great Performance.

Research continues to show that psychedelics can be an effective treatment option for those living with a wide range of pain conditions. On September 27 & 28, REMAP Therapeutics and the Psychedelics & Pain Association (PPA) are hosting an online Symposium that will elevate the rapidly growing body of knowledge in research and pain-patient communities around the use of psychedelics for pain management and treatment of neurological and physical conditions. Registration is offered on a sliding scale.

Sensory-Affirming Resources and Checklist

I'm honored to share a new resource I co-authored with EPIC Psychedelic and Autistic Psychedelic: Sensory-Affirming Resources and Checklists: A Neurodiverse-Informed Psychedelic and Altered States Preparation Guide v1.0. It’s a living document designed to support ethical, sensory-informed care for neurodivergent and highly sensitive individuals. As a companion, I’m also offering a sensory-friendly playlist I created for my neurodiverse and heightened-anxiety clients, gentle, grounding, and adaptable for many states of being.
